In this lesson we will discuss different logical operators that are available in JavaScript.

Logical operators are typically used with booleans, sometimes also referred as logical values. They operate on their operands and return booleans as results.

The logical operators are described in the following table.

Logical Operator Meaning Example
&& and a = 4
b = 3

(a < 5 && b > 2) // returns true

|| or a = 4
b = 3

(a == 5 || b == 15) // returns false

! not

a = 4
b = 3

(!(a==b)) //returns true
