<nav> tag is yet another addition in HTML5. As its name suggests the <nav> tag defines the section for navigational links on a web page.

It is not at all a must to put all your links inside the <nav> tag, however this tag provides a convenient way to organize all of your website navigational links. It is recommended that you put major navigational links under this tag. We can use this tag more than once in a single web page.

A simple code example of the <nav> tag follows:
