<!DOCTYPE> is a very special tag which is declared at the very beginning of a HTML5 web page.
This tag is an instruction for the web browser. This tag sends information about the Document Type.
HTML5 is not based on SGML, therefore we do not need to provide a DTD reference as we used to in earlier versions of HTML.
We use the <!DOCTYPE> tag as follows:
The above markup specifies that the document is of type html.
